"Hey. It’s me." #HanSolo #StarWars
I was fortunate enough to attend the very first of Gorilla Tango Burlesque’s Star Wars-themed shows in “A Nude Hope.” Like all of the GTB’s shows, it was full of saucy humor and clever references to the material it sourced. Now they’re bringing the classic trilogy to a close with their newest show based on Return of the Jedi, calling it “Boobs on Endor.”
Oboy, this sure looks like fun! Who wants to join me for the show? Check out the details below:
Chicago, IL (September 20, 2014): In the epic conclusion of Gorilla Tango Burlesque’s (GTB) sexy Star Wars parody saga, the risque Rebel Alliance confronts the evil Galactic Empire for once and all. Keep calm and yub nub on as we gather to celebrate those brave souls who led the Rebellion to victory: The Mighty Ewoks!
The conclusion to its parody burlesque trilogy of all things Lucas, GTB is proud to present “Boobs on Endor: A Return of the Jedi Burlesque.” Releasing its first ever burlesque trilogy, this silly, sexy, George-Lucas-approved** romp performs Saturdays at 10:30pm, as of September 20, 2014 at Gorilla Tango Theatre Bucktown (1919 N. “Boobs on Endor: A Return of the Jedi Burlesque” is a raucously funny burlesque spoof of Star Wars: Episode VI, Return of the Jedi. Following GTB’s “A Nude Hope: A Star Wars Burlesque” and “The Empire Brings Sexy Back: A Star Wars Burlesque Sequel,” “Boobs on Endor: A Return of the Jedi Burlesque” mixes sexy Jedis, an over the top Jabba-The-Butt, and a Prudish Emperor in Underpants, to tell the untold tale of the true heros of the Star Wars Saga: the Ewoks.
“Boobs on Endor” Director and local ecdysiast Nicole Keating explains, “We took what we love about Return of the Jedi and mashed it up with what we love about burlesque. That means fast-paced action, self-important Ewoks, and good versus evil – all delivered with a wink and a smile and a burst of glitter!”
“Boobs on Endor: A Return of the Jedi Burlesque” is choreographed by GTB Managing Director, Kaitlin Fleharty. Says Fleharty, “It’s been a blast choreographing – we’ve got a Ribbon-saber dance/fight, a 1920’s style Twi’lek solo, and, of course, lots of Ewok shimmies. This show will definitely entice you to the ‘burlesque side’ of the Force.”

I’ve seen a lot of celebs take the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, but Benedict Cumberbatch’s video just takes the cake. Watch as the “Sherlock” and “Star Trek: Into Darkness” star not only makes the perfect pitch for ALS awareness, but also gets doused with more than his fair share of ice water:
For all the criticism I’ve heard of the…
Watching this video makes me miss the duo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul so, so much!
Titled “Barely Legal Pawn Shop”, this humorous short features the “Breaking Bad” co-stars re-cast as the owners of a pawn shop that specializes in dealing with unique items. One of the most popular features on Geek To Me has always been the “Top Geek Gals” and “Hottest Geek Guys” galleries that I’d put together each year. It’s one of the most difficult features to produce since I’m always sorting through the numerous nominations that I collect on my Twitter and Facebook page. And I always end up forgetting someone deserving.
I was going through my photo archives and found the “Hottest Geek Guys of 2013″ which featured several of my favorite fellow geek guys – like Marcus LeShock, Laurence Holmes and Nathan Hamill. But this one will always be my fave because it included musician Matt Ryd.
I remember when I was putting together the 2013 gallery and Matt chided me, saying that I never included him with the “cool geeks.” Of course he was joking with me because he was one of the most humble persons I’ve ever known. Still, I was embarrassed because he was such an obvious choice. The dude personified the music geek.
He was so flattered when I put him in the 2013 gallery. And I was stunned when the photo was used in his memorial.
I really miss you, Matt.FROM THE ARCHIVES: The Hottest Geek Guys of 2013 One of the most popular features on Geek To Me has always been the “Top Geek Gals” and “Hottest Geek Guys” galleries that I’d put together each year.
I was alerted to this Kickstarter campaign by David Gerrold - the writer who gave us “The Trouble with Tribbles” – when he wrote about it on his Facebook page. It’s for the production of an indie Star Trek series called “Axanar.” This is what the series would be about, according to the KS page:
“Axanar” takes place 21 years before the events of “Where no Man Has Gone Before”, the first Kirk…
I received the disc for review purposes and haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. But since you asked all these great questions I’ll be sure to take photos of the packaging and post them for you to see! I’ll also answer your other questions as soon as I can sit down and review the disc. Thanks!
